Young Music DYMG, Creator
Since emerging as a mainstay in the music industry as the youngest to be named national tour DJ for Grammy winner, Ginuwine, and on the streets of Metro DC, Young Music DYMG has established a knack for being “the youngest to” do whatever he sets his mind to. A triple threat mogul in the making, (artist, deejay, producer, and songwriter) and the youngest to ever sign a worldwide distribution deal with eOne Entertainment and NSUC Entertainment Group – he is the choice of today’s generation of millennials. Having assembled a top-notch team of artists and producers at his DYMG Entertainment imprint, while scoring the success of his very own syndicated radio show, he is truly an undeniable talent. At 19-years-old he landed a deal to become the youngest DJ to ever join the stable of Superadio’s massive network. Superadio Networks boasts a database that distributes 40 radio programs through 725 stations, 150 of them based in top 50 markets.
ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
Young Music DYMG and Streetz Stop The Violence Foundation presents “The Streetz Tour,” a multi-state effort to spread peace, love, and understanding through music while seeking to combat the youth violence in our communities. The Streetz Tour will feature a performance by Young Music DYMG and his celebrity friends, followed by a youth panel, that will provide a safe and artistic spaces for youth to process the adversity they have faced in their lives, brainstorm solutions to prevent and reduce violence and become change agents. Youth will interact with a panel on conflict resolution, skill-building and creative nonviolent expressions.
Young Music DYMG and the Streetz Stop The Violence Foundation’s main focus is the empowerment of our youths! The Streetz Tour will create an environment of mutual respect and trusts between youths and adults and between the youths, police and
Justice system. The Streetz Tour is open to all youths regardless of race, age, gender, socio-economic background, sexual orientation, abilities or ideological perspective. The tour’s main purpose is to respond to the needs of our young people.
For too many young people across this country, exposure to violence is an inescapable part of growing up. Some are directly involved as victims or perpetrators. Others carry around the memory of a shooting or fight they witnessed. Many more are affected by the stories they hear at school or from having known a classmate who has been killed. While the levels of exposure to violence may vary, the resulting fear and anxiety can be traumatic, long-lasting and pervasive.
We understand that many factors lead to youth violence, and they must be addressed in different ways. The Streetz Tour initiative seeks to address as many of these factors as possible, using combinations of Prevention, Intervention, and Response. The earlier we can prevent violence—including by building up young people’s families and communities—the more effective we will be.
